We’re so grateful to Heather and everyone for allowing us to set up a booth at the 31st Annual Church Fair. Last Saturday we were at the South Newbury Union Church for their 31st annual fair.

While we were told the event was a bit smaller than they’d seen in prior years, it was nice to get to know some more local vendors and talk with members of the community during this craft fair!

We arrived early in the morning with coffee in hand ready to get our tent all set for the five-hour event. We wondered if the rain from hurricane Henri was going to hold off, and it did!

The only mishap we had during this event was when Justin decided to go use the restroom. I was chatting with a couple of people under our canopy when it decided I didn’t want to be a canopy anymore.

The canopy went sideways, I quickly told the people it was falling and I grabbed it but thankfully another person got up and held the other side until Justin returned to assist.

So, our canopy aka the tent we use for every event has been retired! We actually have used this canopy for 2 plus years for other reasons though, so we knew this time was coming.

We’re currently looking at replacing it with a better more colorful and strong option. This is pretty exciting and nerve-wracking because you just never know what to invest in the business, especially since our outdoor fair season may be over in just a few months.

Overall Experience at Newbury Church Fair

We enjoyed the experience of this fair, even with the canopy mishap! The local people who stopped by our canopy were super kind and enjoyed reading our signs. What we enjoyed most was the laughter that each sign brought the various people who stopped by.

When it comes to running our NH Small Business, we enjoy seeing the quality of Justin’s work be admired and his sense of humor appreciated.

We’re thankful for the conversations and laughter from all who engaged with us last Saturday!
